Our morning routine is usually rush, rush, rush. Bret is supposed to be at daycare by 7:15 so he can have breakfast and be ready for the bus around 8:00. We usually get there 5-10 minutes late which doesn't leave any extra time for chit chat.
This week Bret doesn't have school so he didn't have to eat breakfast until 8:30. So, I spent a few extra minutes looking around his room today and asking him what he was going to do. He was showing me a few of his art projects.
On one of the walls, they had self portraits depicting what they wanted to be when they grew up. There were policemen, firemen, baseball players, etc. The standard stuff. I didn't see Bret's right away until he pointed it out.....he wants to be a Dad. I've never so proud as I was right at that minute.
