Bret's party with the family was last Saturday. Thanks everybody for the great presents and taking the time to celebrate with us!!
Today was his actual birthday. April made cupcakes for daycare and he had a mini party there.
After work Bret picked Red Robin for dinner. He asked for a balloon as soon as we walked in the door. He ordered his favorite corn dog with cantaloupe. The waitstaff sang for him, tied balloons to his ears and brough him an ice cream sundae. I think he was happy with his choice of restaurants. While we were in the restaurant we had our first snow flurries of the season :-( Its been chilly and should remain that way through Halloween. We aren't real excited about winter.
Kramer ran out of food yesterday so we had to hit the pet store after dinner. April and I had been toying with the idea of getting him a fish for his birthday so we let him pick one out. He immediately named him "Fishy Squishy" or something sort of close to that. We didn't have much luck getting Bret to repeat the same name twice.
After the pet store, we headed home and Bret opened his presents from me, April and Jake. We picked up a few Playstation 2 games for him last week so I've been trying to get him interested in that a little bit but I think there are too many buttons for him. We also busted out the vintage Nintendo. He seems to be having an easier time with that for now.
That's all for now. I'll try to incorporate some pictures/slideshows with future posts.
