Jake had a hearing test and consultation with Dr. Bettag (ENT) today. We were quite positive Jake would be getting tubes but didn't expect it so soon. He's scheduled for Friday morning already!! Hopefully they work as well for him as they did for Bret.
The surgery is minor...but surgery just the same so we'll be just a little bit nervous.
Dr. Bettag is the same doctor that put in Bret's tubes and took out my tonsils. We highly recommend him.
The technician that gave Jake his hearing test kept calling him Jakers just like we sometimes do. After she said it a few times, she apologized and said her co-workers's son is named Jake and they call him Jakers so it was habit. Must be a common nickname.
While we were there, we had him take a peek at Bret's ears too because he's been asking us to repeat alot lately. He had some fluid but it was clear, which means no infection. The doctor wasn't concerned but said to monitor it. Will most likely clear up after winter.
